| Abstract: | Women's contribution to the wealth of the economy over the years is brought to the limelight and an all-inclusive definition of work is suggested. The reality vs the myth of women's participatory role in the job market are discussed. Calculated annual growth rates point to a trend of partial commitment in the labour force. Women (and men) have fallen out with a conventional rigid work structure. A national policy of support for a new model of work is recommended. |
