Abstract: A survey to gather data on the chicken consumption in the Maltese islands was carried out to determine consumer attitude towards chicken meat consumption. The survey consisted of 18 questions, pertaining to various aspects of chicken consumption and products. From the results it is evident that the Maltese, as a nation, have a liking towards chicken meats, and perceive it as a healthy and hearty meal. It is also evident that chicken meat products are fairly affordable and are sought after. Local produce also is well liked with respondents saying that they preferred local produce than imported products.
