Abstract: The aim of this project is to test a three phase, fully controlled, A.C. Thyristor Voltage Controller, which employs a phase angle control technique. The A. C. voltage controller was tested on different loads, resistive and series resistive-inductive loads. It was then used to drive a slip ring induction motor. The system offers, a variable voltage fixed frequency speed control, a ramp soft-starting, and reversal of rotation
