Abstract: | Since Malta joined the European Union and the creation of a common Schengen boarder, the exchange of information between Law Enforcement Authorities within the European Union amplified substantially. The always increasing new information systems is to an extent that it is now hindering instead of helping the easy flow of data sharing. Traditional collective information systems owned by powerful international organisations are now being bypassed by the more direct bilateral agreements. Harmonisation is the crux of all this. Everyone is in its favour but still is blocked for personal interests by the same entities who promote it. |
