Abstract: This long essay focuses on Child Care Centres in Malta, which have become increasingly important in the healthy upbringing of Maltese Children who represent the future of our nation. The Maltese government is encouraging mothers to return to their respective career or to start working in the labour market to help the family itself, after giving birth. These Child Care Centres serve to help children from at an early stage of their lives to be emotionally, socially, mentally, psychologically and physically prepared for the life to come. These Child Care Centres are intended to help Maltese children to develop a healthy lifestyle and to be of a good character while preparing them to be integrated into kindergarten facilities when their formal education begins. Child Care Centres help children since early childhood to develop basic skills and to socialize them into community life and citizenship.
