Abstract: The dissertation deals with the problems encountered by the Construction Industry In perceiving Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Code of Practices In this sector. Various problems were pointed out which render the implementation of this legislation difficult to procure. I wanted to get both the employers' and employees' response to a questionnaire which I distributed among the trial sample Various comments were forwarded during the filling up of these questionnaires, which was a very hard task to accomplish especially for the Self-employed sector. Interviews were also held with architects and the acting Head of the building school. The findings revealed that most of the times the Health and Safety Legislation at the Construction Industry is breached.
