Rector gets insight into how Faculty of ICT is Shaping Tomorrow through its latest initiatives

Following this year's riveting Expo held by the University's Faculty of ICT, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, Dr Conrad Attard, and Dean Prof. Carl James Debono met with UM Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella to present him with a copy of the publication that encapsulates the work of its final-year students and the latest strides by the Faculty in Shaping Tomorrow.

The meeting took place on Tuesday 26 August 2025, and included a brief yet insightful discussion on how the growing interest in technology is a reflection of its central role in our lives as well as our collective recognition that it is indeed shaping our future.

The Rector fully concurred, saying that our students show great promise, especially because they are choosing to tackle projects rooted in real-life issues that affect each and every one of us.

He lauded the Faculty of ICT for its yearly successful endeavour and encouraged it to keep pushing research boundaries.
