Auditor General Pays Courtesy Visit to UM Rector

Mr Charles Deguara, the Auditor General at the National Audit Office (Malta), paid a courtesy visit to UM Rector, Prof. Frank Bezzina, on Wednesday, 22 July, 2026.

The meeting served to consolidate and strengthen the bilateral relationship and cooperation between L-Università ta' Malta and the National Audit Office, offering an opportunity to share perspectives on topics of mutual interest.

Highlighting the value of ongoing collaboration, Prof. Bezzina expressed appreciation for the visit and underscored its importance in fostering institutional excellence, good governance, and knowledge exchange.

During their exchange, Mr Deguara presented Prof. Bezzina with a commemorative publication from the EU Contact Committee Meeting, which was hosted by the National Audit Office (Malta) in November 2025.

This publication honours the milestone of Malta hosting the annual meeting of the EU Contact Committee for the first time, an event that unites leaders and representatives from the European Court of Auditors and various Supreme Audit Institutions.
