Rector receives Ambassador of Greece

On Wednesday 18 March 2025, the Ambassador of Greece, Her Excellency, Stella Bezirtzoglou, paid a courtesy visit to the Rector of the University of Malta, Prof. Alfred J. Vella,

For the meeting they were joined by the Pro-Rector for Internationalisation and Quality Assurance, Prof. Frank J. Bezzina and the Director of the International Office, Ms Stefania Agius Fabri.

The Ambassador expressed her strong wish to engage with the University of Malta, to find new paths for collaboration and strengthen existing links.

She made reference to proposals addressed by the Department of Classics and Archaeology which are being considered. She also conveyed and her willingness to explore further possibilities on which the University and the Embassy can work together in the coming years.

Presenting her with a copy of The University of Malta - Legacies and Bearings, the Rector thanked the Ambassador for her visit and augured for closer collaboration during her term.
