The annual seminar entitled ‘Can I count on accounting? What future prospects?’ is being organised by the University of Malta, Junior College (JC), Accounting Department on Friday 2 December 2022. Second year advanced level accounting students will have the opportunity to explore different professional paths.
Mr Paul Xuereb, the JC Principal, and Ms Josephine Mallia, Coordinator of the JC Accounting Department, will introduce the seminar. Academics from the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, and the Faculty of Education will provide an overview of the qualification of an accountant and teacher from the University of Malta. The Malta Institute of Accountants will expose students to the evolving role of the accountant.
Students shall engage in six workshops intended to exhibit different facets of the accountancy profession. The workshops will be led by representatives from six leading accountancy firms.
Registration will take place on the day of the seminar at the Peter Serracino Inglott Auditorium at 08:00.
