For Valentine’s Day, Friday 14th February, the JC4Others committee is organising an activity called Dnubiet Ħelwin. The aim is to promote sending a message of love and care over a chocolate or two. Proceeds are in aid of the Ursuline Creche, Sliema. This organisation helps in the upbringing of children in out-of-home care.
By February 10, students and staff are requested to donate any leftover chocolates or biscuits from the Christmas season or any fresh oranges. These goods could be given to Fr Anton, Dr Liliana or at the reception.
Carnival Dress Up
The JC4Others committee is organising a Carnival Dress Up activity. The aim is to bring out the value of altruism through fun during carnival. On Friday 21 February, students and staff are given the option to come to school either:
- wearing a carnival costume, without a face mask; or
- having their face painted; or
- wearing their pyjamas / onesie.
Participants are requested to donate one euro in a box which will be situated at the reception.
At 12:00 students and staff are cordially invited to meet at the Foyer for a not to be missed photo!
Proceeds would be given to the non-governmental organisation Dr Klown. A representative from Dr Klown will be visiting the Junior College. The typical red noses will be for sale to raise funds. This organisation aims to support sick children who are hospitalised.
