For your safety and the safety of the College community whenever you are not feeling well, stay home. In this pandemic climate should you feel unwell at College, you must leave immediately and inform the COVID-19 Contact Person (Students) on 2590 7100 for symptoms related to coronavirus or the Office of the Principal for other situations.
As you all know already, attendance for all sessions is compulsory. You may request to be exempted for a valid reason, such as illness. The total number of one-day exemptions and days covered by medical certificates is 15 College days during each academic year. In exceptional circumstances, should you need to be absent for more that 15 days, you are to contact the Student Services Office (SSO) to be directed accordingly.
Exemption from Attendance due to medical reasons
In case of sickness, follow the procedure as outlined in the Important procedures and student duties. You will be expected to fill in the respective exemption form and send these duly filled to SSO via email.
Students in Mandatory Quarantine
The Public Health Authorities will no longer send notifications for self-isolation and mandatory quarantine. Students are obliged to fill in a Quarantine Form when they receive a COVID-19 positive test result and/or when they came in prolonged contact with a COVID-19 positive individual.
To facilitate the processing, you are requested to fill in the Quarantine Form to inform the College Administration. You will need a scan of the Notification of self-isolation and mandatory quarantine COVID-19 or a positive COVID-19 test result issued by the Superintendent of Public Health, either directly to you or to a member of your family.
An officer from the Student Services Office will be in contact with you in due time to direct your further.
Students returning to College after quarantine must present medical clearance as indicated by the COVID-19 Contact Person (Students).
It is customary for students who are sick to catch up with their work by contacting their respective tutor or subject coordinator to check what was covered during their period of absence. Same holds for students in mandatory quarantine.
