If you do not find time for health, you will have to find time for illness. We become aware of the importance of self care, when it is lacking: when we do not sleep at night, when we are irritable and when we behave in an uncharacteristic way. As a result, our health declines and our relationships suffer.
The Professional Development Committee is organising a workshop with the aim of creating self awareness regarding one's own daily practices and rituals which either promote self care or create distress.
Those attending will be able to reflect upon different facets of one's self, such as the emotional, physical and relational aspects, with the aim of finding pockets of self care within them.
Ms Anna Borg Bartolo, a Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist and Ms Fleur Mifsud Bons, a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist at the Counselling Service at Ġ.F. Abela Junior College will be facilitating the workshop.
The workshop is open to 10 members of staff and will be offered in two parts of one hour each. Attendees may choose to attend either at 13:00 or at 14:00 and are required to attend both sessions to attain maximum benefit.
A certificate of participation will be awarded to those who attend. (Certificates will be distributed at the end of this academic year).
Note: This is a repetition of the workshop offered in 2020.
