Germany’s commitment towards the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies was renewed for a further two years.
Ambassador Walter Haßmann, on behalf of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and Professor Godfrey Pirotta, Chairperson of MEDAC, signed an extension agreement in the presence of Hon. Carmelo Abela, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Prof. Stephen Calleya, Director of MEDAC and Dr Monika Wohlfeld, holder of the German Chair in Peace Studies and Conflict Prevention were also present.
This agreement will see the continuation of the German Chair for Peace Studies and Conflict Prevention at MEDAC, confirming Germany’s interest in the Mediterranean Region.
