Accreditation awarded to 46 educators in financial capability education

A certificate presentation ceremony was held on 16 June 2026 at HSBC Qormi to recognise educators who successfully completed the micro-credential Financial Capability and Entrepreneurship: A Development Programme for Educators (LAS1100), offered by the Centre for the Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS).

Now offered for the second consecutive year, the micro-credential is delivered in collaboration with the Centre for Excellence in Financial Capability and Entrepreneurship. Launched in April 2025 by JA Malta, the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, and the HSBC Malta Foundation, the Centre provides training and resources to help educators foster financial awareness and entrepreneurial thinking among students.

Forty-six educators were awarded certificates during the event, which forms part of a wider initiative promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurial education in schools. The programme equips educators with the skills to integrate financial capability across a range of subjects.

The ceremony was presided over by Professor David Mifsud, Director of CLAS, and attended by representatives from the Ministry, the HSBC Malta Foundation, and the Centre for Excellence in Financial Capability and Entrepreneurship.
