Faculty of Health Sciences Team-Building Event

On Friday 10 April 2026, the Faculty of Health Sciences came together for a highly engaging and enjoyable team-building event held at the Cottonera Resource Centre. The day was carefully structured to promote collaboration, communication, and camaraderie among staff members across the Faculty.

The event commenced with a welcoming meeting and coffee session, providing an opportunity for colleagues to reconnect in a relaxed setting and set a positive tone for the day. This was followed by a lively treasure hunt around Birgu, which encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and a spirit of friendly competition among participants.

After the morning activity, staff returned to the venue for a series of interactive games that further strengthened team dynamics and fostered collaboration in an enjoyable and inclusive environment. The programme then transitioned into a shared lunch, allowing participants to unwind, socialise, and continue building connections in an informal setting.

The afternoon session featured a “Name the Movie” game, encouraging participation and laughter across all groups. The event concluded with closing remarks that reflected on the day's success and the importance of maintaining strong professional relationships within the Faculty.

Overall, the team-building event successfully achieved its aim of enhancing teamwork, communication, and morale among staff, while also providing a well-deserved opportunity to step away from routine duties and engage with colleagues in a meaningful way.

Sincere thanks to all FHS staff who took part in the team-building activity; your energy, collaboration, and positive spirit truly made the experience both enjoyable and meaningful.

A special word of appreciation goes to the organisers for their hard work and dedication in ensuring the event ran so smoothly. Heartfelt thanks to Ms Marthese Gauci and her team, the Social Events Committee; Dr Carmen Mangion, Administrative Director; Dr Josette Barbara Cardona and Ms Romina Carabott from the Cottonera Resource Centre for their kind support; CET Leisure Ltd for organizing the games and treasure hunt; Mr Domnic Cilia and Dr Petra Jones and family for their contribution in preparing the delicious lunch; and our generous sponsors, Welbees for the cold cuts and Fresh by Ela for the fruit.
