Eid al-Fitr celebration at UM

Eid al-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, a significant observance for Muslims, whose presence on campus continues to grow, making it an increasingly important moment of cultural and community recognition.

On Monday 23 March 2026, the International Students' Association (ISA), with the support of the International Office, organised the annual Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak celebration on campus.

The event was held at the KSU Common Room from 10:00 to 13:00, featuring a variety of food, drinks, games, and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Prof. Alfred J. Vella, UM Rector, Prof. Frank Bezzina, UM’s Pro-Rector for International Development and Quality Assurance, and Ms Stefania Agius Fabri, UM’s Director, International Office, were among those who joined in the festivities.

For many, it was not just a festive gathering but an opportunity to build bridges across cultures and strengthen the sense of belonging within the university community.
