We are delighted to share the success of the ECHOES project's presentation at the 28th ENOTHE Annual Meeting, held from 23-25 October 2025, in beautiful Coimbra, Portugal.
The event, centred on the timely theme of "Occupational Therapy Education: fostering global citizenship and partnerships," served as an ideal platform to showcase the ECHOES platform and its ground-breaking role in connecting healthcare expertise across Europe.
Presentation Highlights by Dr Bonello
The ECHOES presentation was delivered expertly by Dr Marjorie Bonello, Head of the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Malta, on behalf of the consortium.
Dr Bonello highlighted how the ECHOES (Enhancing Connections in Healthcare Education and Research) project is making "invisible experts" visible across health, social care, and wellbeing sectors. The presentation featured a live look at the newly completed ECHOES platform, demonstrating its key features:
• Customisable Expert Profiles: Allowing academics and practitioners to register their specific expertise and CVs.
• AI-Driven: Facilitating faster and more efficient collaboration for research, knowledge exchange, and targeted courses.
• Free Communication Tools: Enabling seamless virtual, physical, or blended educational and research partnerships.
Attendees learned how this tool is poised to revolutionise Occupational Therapy Education by enabling universities to easily find and invite specialist experts to complement their curricula, thereby promoting stronger, globally aware partnerships.
