The University of Malta Junior College is proud to announce the upcoming edition of its Annual International Multidisciplinary Conference (AIMC).
The theme for the 8th AIMC is Evolving Paradigms in Further Education (16+).
The landscape of further education for students aged 16 and above is undergoing a profound transformation, reflecting evolving societal, technological, and economic demands. Traditional models of classroom-based learning are increasingly supplemented or even replaced by flexible, technology-driven approaches, including blended learning, online platforms, and experiential project-based programs.
There is also a growing emphasis on equipping learners not just with academic knowledge, but with practical skills, critical thinking, and adaptability to thrive in an ever-changing world. These shifting paradigms highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, personalised learning pathways, and lifelong learning opportunities, ensuring that further education remains relevant, inclusive, and responsive.
A new logo is being unveiled for this year – featuring a contemporary rendition of the traditional Maltese Kajjik. This iconic boat, with its distinctive flat stern, has long been a symbol of Maltese maritime heritage. The new logo retains the Kajjik's essential characteristics, embodying AIMC’s spirit as a dynamic hub for multidisciplinary dialogue.
The journal published by JC, called Symposia Melitensia, will also be featured throughout the Conference.
