Psychology Career Expo

Betapsi, the psychology students’ association at the University of Malta, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, will be hosting the first-ever Psychology Career Expo on Wednesday, 29 October, from 12:00 to 17:00 at the Campus Hub Piazza, Msida.

The Psychology Career Expo aims to help students explore the wide range of career paths available within the field of psychology and gain a deeper understanding of how psychological knowledge and skills are applied in different professional contexts. The event will be open to all psychology students at the University of Malta, as well as sixth form students interested in pursuing psychology at university level.

Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to meet and network with organisations, NGOs, and professionals working in various psychological and related sectors. Among the entities attending are the Malta Chamber of Psychologists, Willingness Clinic, Paths Clinic, Hand in Hand, the Karl Vella Foundation, Hospice Malta, Richmond Foundation, Malta Trust Foundation, Creative Arts Therapies Society, RISe foundation, OASI Foundation, Victim Support Malta, and Inspire Foundation, among others. Each organisation will be available to share information about their work, ongoing projects, and any vacancies, internship, or volunteering opportunities.

In addition, members of the Department of Psychology will also be present at the Expo, giving students a chance to engage with their lecturers in an informal setting. Students will be able to ask questions about different areas of psychology, postgraduate study options, and what a career in various specialisations - such as clinical, forensic, or educational psychology - may look like in practice.

Participating entities will be attending across two time slots: 12:00 – 14:30 and 14:30 – 17:00. Students are encouraged to visit both sessions to make the most of the event.
