World Patient Safety Day, 17 September 2025: "Safe care for every newborn and every child"

Patient safety from the start!

In commemoration of World Patient Safety Day on 17 September 2025, MDPI is organising a special webinar to promote collaboration among healthcare professionals and researchers, and to highlight the importance of patient safety in healthcare systems worldwide.

This year’s theme is “Safe care for every newborn and every child” with the slogan “Patient safety from the start!”; it focuses on leveraging scientific knowledge and collaboration to reduce patient harm from unsafe care, improve outcomes, and strengthen health systems. The webinar will offer a platform for meaningful dialogue on innovative approaches, policies, and practices that enhance patient safety and save lives.

Prof. Sandra C. Buttigieg, Head of Department of Health Systems Management and Leadership, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Malta, has been invited by MDPI as a featured speaker on the MDPI-organised webinar to mark the Day.
