French and German Language Cafés as part of the SEA-EU International Week

The Departments of French and German within the Faculty of Arts, together with the SEA-EU Office, invite all University of Malta staff, students, and members of the general public to participate in the French Language Café and the German Language Café, taking place as part of the SEA-EU International Week.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 17 February, from 14:00 to 15:30 at the Valletta Campus. Organised by Prof. Anne-Marie Bezzina Busuttil (Department of French) and Dr Elisabeth Birk (Head of Department, German), this session offers a relaxed and engaging opportunity to practise listening and speaking in French and/or German through the viewing of short, subtitled videos, followed by open discussions. The atmosphere will be inclusive, encouraging communication and translanguaging when needed.

Language mediation will ensure that participants of all proficiency levels—from elementary upwards—can take part comfortably. Transport will be available from the Msida Campus (departure at 13:30, return at 15:40).
