From New Realism to Webfare - Philosophy Talk

THYS (Transcendental Hysteresis) is the name of a philosopy of beginnings. Its thesis is simple and radical: nothing begins from nothing. Every beginning comes after, carries with it what precedes it, and precisely for this reason can produce the new.

Hysteresis names this originary delay: being never coincides with its own beginning. THYS thus reverses the metaphysical question: not "Where does everything come from?" but "How can anything begin, if something is already there?"
