Online Master in Lifelong Career Guidance and Development

Specifically designed for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and offered on a part-time, evening basis

Seeking a professional qualification in career guidance?

The University of Malta is planning to offer this two-year Master course in October 2022 if enough candidates apply to join.

Career guidance services and livelihood planning have been adopted in many countries internationally in order to improve the match between the supply and demand of skills, as well as to enhance social inclusion and work satisfaction. Such services are especially important in the MENA region, given the twin challenge of youth unemployment and skills gaps.

The Master will provide participants with the interdisciplinary theoretical background and practical experience needed in order to design, deliver, and evaluate lifelong career guidance services. It will represent a unique opportunity for the promotion of regional expertise in policy development, systems-building, and practitioner competence.

The Master will be offered jointly by the University of Malta’s Centre for Labour Studies and the Faculty of Education, with the expert support of the ETF (European Training Foundation) and the ILO (International Labour Organisation), and with the input of the 21 universities members of the UNESCO UNITWIN Network on Life designing interventions for decent work and sustainable development.

The fees for Non-EU/Non-EEA Applicants will be EUR 5,400 per year (EUR 10,800 in total). Partial scholarships will be offered by the University of Malta.
