Special Course Requirements:
Passes at Advanced Level at Grade C or better in Biology and Chemistry and a pass at Intermediate Level in one of the following subjects: Applied Mathematics, Computing, Information Technology, Physics and Pure Mathematics.
The number of students shall be limited to 24 students.
Applicants who are fully qualified by 31 August 2022 will be considered first and will be placed in rank order. If, after this initial ranking, vacant places are still available, and if applicants would have obtained the necessary qualifications by 30 September 2022, they shall be considered for selection to take up any remaining places. The selection criteria can be found
here.
During the first year of the Course, students are also required to undergo an occupational health assessment so as to ascertain that they are fit for the duties related to their proposed studies. Students who do not fulfil this requirement may be barred from progressing with their studies. Failure to disclose information about a physical or mental health problem that could affect patient safety is considered to be a serious breach of the University Suitability to Practise Regulations.
Further information, including a schedule of interviews for applicants for courses with a limited number of students and for 'adult learners/mature applicants' (in the case of undergraduate courses), as well as important information on the occupational health protocol can be accessed
here. Prospective students are encouraged to go through these documents carefully as early as possible.
Requires the submission of a recent Police Certificate of Conduct, not more than 6 months old.
The admission requirements are applicable for courses commencing in October
2022.
For more detailed information pertaining to admission and progression requirements please refer to the bye-laws for the course available
