Abstract: Continuous epidural anaesthesia is now established method for the relief of pain associated with labour and childbirth, and for Caesarean section, both elective and emergency. A 34 year old woman at term was electively allocated for Caesarean section because her previous two deliveries were managed in the same ri1anner. The report emphasizes the advantages of epidural over general anaesthesia for safe conduction of Caesarean section.
