Abstract: The main aim of the thesis is to create a comparison between Christopher Nolan and Alfred Hitchcock as well as analyse any contrasting aspects between the two, by concentrating on the concepts and constructions within their film environments. Although the entire filmographies will not be included, any comments will be based on films from both directors as well as relevant literature written by film critics and experts on the subject. The ending discusses and highlights the results found during the research undertaken, illustrating an answer to the question of whether Christopher Nolan can be deemed as clever as Alfred Hitchcock and whether he is worthy of such a comparison, since Hitchcock is now a legend and an institution.
