Abstract: Joe Chetcuti interviews director Colin Attard about the two operatic representations that were to be held on the 14th of October 2017 in the "Teatru tal-Opra Aurora", in Victoria, Gozo. Written during the end of the 19th century, the two operas relate to the rustic everyday life in southern Italy and Sicily during that time. Romance, betrayal, honour, vengeance and religion are some of the themes that the operas touch upon.
