Abstract: | During World War 1, The British and the French admiralties assented to a unified command of the joint fleets. The French Mediterranean fleet entered Grand Harbour on August 11, 1914. Then, thousands of French officers and sailors arrived in Valletta, but this massive presence also raised problems of discipline and control, like delinquencies and desertions. |
