Abstract: The author's search for unrecorded maps of Malta (usually found in sixteenth-century Italian-assembled collections of maps) led him to one of these 'atlases' at the Biblioteca Casanatense in Rome. This collection had escaped the attention of scholars, although Professor Roberto Almagia made a passing reference to its existence.
