Abstract:	This document contains a diary of immense historic value since it was written during the French occupation of the Maltese islands. The author of the manuscript is uncertain, however, by method of deduction, it is most likely that it was priest Xavier Baldacchino- a member of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri.
