| Abstract: | With the restrictions of being on a small island with a small medical fraternity, the local surgeons find it immensely profitable to locally host medical and health oriented meetings in order to ensure that cross fertilisation of ideas. Subsequently the 1921 Surgical Club of Great Britain and the University Department of Surgery have collaborated to organize the 2004 meeting in Malta to ensure that local medical standards remain comparable to the best in the continent. |
