Abstract: Born in Valletta on the 17th of August 1906, Carmelo Pace started his early instruction in music under his uncle, Band Master Vincenzo Ciappara. He is known to be the first Maltese composer who collected some Maltese folk music. This article gives us Carmelo Pace's biography in more detail.
