Abstract: The following dissertation explores site-specific performance, looking at the interaction that can occur between the audience, the performer, and the space. It also refers to the formalities of traditional spaces, such as the theatre, and non-traditional like ones, such as an art gallery or a natural focus environment, such as terrain and other features of the earth, and focuses on the dialogue between audience and performers. Comparing artists and performers who have evolved their practice in non-traditional environments and involving audience interaction will help examine the audience-performance relationship. The interaction to which it is possible to refer is the dialogue between performance and audience and is mentioned, comparing it then also the interactions between the audience and performance. For reasons such as the distance and proximity of the place where the performance is performed, the performer, and the audience. These elements will then be the topic that will concern the second and last part of this dissertation.
