Abstract: In Europe it is estimated that 446,800 cases of colorectal cancer are diagnosed yearly with an estimated 214,000 deaths annually. It is one of the most common cancers among the elderly and will remain a major public health concern as the population ages. Despite this, there are wide variations in provision, coverage and uptake of colorectal cancer screening programs and survival varies across countries. More needs to be done to understand these variations. The aim of this analysis is to assess trends of colorectal survival in Malta over a 15-year period by the demographic features of the population.
