| Abstract: | As patients progressively seek orthodontic treatment, the majority of cases involving adults focus on aesthetic orthodontics. Lingual orthodontic appliances are bonded to the lingual surfaces of the teeth. Lingual orthodontics is based on patient selection, which allows the clinician to deliver very satisfactory results. The evolution of lingual orthodontics has spanned 30 years, and many of the initial challenges faced with this approach have now been overcome. In this article, lingual orthodontics is placed under the microscope as the author discusses three articles recently published in the literature |
