| Abstract: | This article mentions how a small studio in Marylebone, London produced reproductions of blackamoor sculptures which were fashionable at the time. The article provides a word of caution to antique lovers and buyers to make due diligance before buying a pair of these sculptures should they turn up for sale. One of the sculptors working at this studio, was Maltese sculptor Edward Pirotta. |
