Abstract: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025 Accreditation guarantees that standards set out in requirements for competence of testing and calibration laboratories are met. ISO 17025 Accreditation is proof that an accredited laboratory operates competently thereby promoting assurance in quality of results. In 2018, the Maltese government enacted the Production of Cannabis for Medicinal and Research Purposes Act which allows production of cannabis for medicinal and research purposes. There is a need for an accredited analytical method for the analysis of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in oil.
