Birds found in Malta and Gozo, with their English, Maltese and Latin names

Abstract

To the Reader, Malta and Gozo have long been known for the numerous varieties of Birds that are, to be met with ou their shores. Some few are resident; but by far the greater part make these Islands only their resting place while on their passage to more congenial climates. Many are never found in England, and the knowledge therefore, of their habitat in these Islands is full of interest to the English naturalist and sportsman. As yet no English work bas been published for general circulation, and wishing to render service to the cultivators of Natural History, I devoted my spare moments to filling up this c desiderantum.
