| Abstract: | Office of the Charitable Institutions, Valletta, 26th June, 1937. Sir, I have the honour to submit my Annual Report on the Charitable Institutions in Malta and Gozo for the financial year 1936-37. The Department comprises the following Institutions:- General Hospitals: Central Hospital, Floriana – 253 beds, Santo Spirito Hospital, Rabat – 69 beds, Victoria Hospital, Gozo – 88 Beds. Special Hospitals: Hospital for Mental Diseases, Attard – 835 beds, Chambrai Mental Diseases Hospital, Gozo – 200 beds, Connaught Hospital, Notabile (for Tubercular cases) - 120 beds, Santa Teresa Hospital, Gozo (for Tubercular cases) - 16 beds, Hospital for Infectious Diseases, Manoel Island – 54 beds, Hospital for Infectious Diseases, Gozo – 25 beds, Leper Hospital – 150 beds.
