| Abstract: | lntroduction: In a previous article in Law and Practice. Dr. Anton Micallef wrote on the appointment of the judiciary from the point of view of Maltese Law. This paper, on the other hand. studies the method of judicial appointment in other jurisdictions and in international and regional instruments as well as attempts to identify the salient case law of the European Court of Human Rights obtaining on the subject. It concludes by auguring that Malta learns from foreign practice and updates its law on the subject under review accordingly therewith. |
