| Abstract: | One area of the law that requires particular attention is medical law. Although there have been quite a number of laws on the Maltese Statute book for quite some time which contain provisions on medical law, new laws have been enacted during the past decade or so which have changed the legal scenario on the subject under discussion. This notwithstanding our statute book can be considered far from complete when regulating medico-legal issues. One noteworthy instance is organ donation and transplantation where its treatment in Maltese law is lacking, being considered only from a criminal law perspective. |
