| Abstract: | Accusations are sometimes levelled against the Security Service that its employees are listening in to the various telephone conversations being made by certain persons. The question is not whether they have the capability to do so, because that is taken as a given, but whether such interceptions of communication - be it a phone call, an e-mail, a text message, web browsing, etc. - are authorised by law. |
