Abstract: The newspaper article traces the history of the Library of the Major Seminary in Malta. The Library's genesis dates back to 1756 and the amazing foresight of Bishop Paul Alpheran de Bussan. The author also outlines the various shifts of the Library from Mdina to Floriana to Rabat. The Seminary Library was later amalgamated to the Faculty of Theology (later, Foundation for Theological Studies) Library. The continuous expansion of the Library is documented, particularly through generous bequests.
