| Abstract: | This dissertation explores how to write a script for a walkthrough context and to create a more immersive and engaging experience for the audience. It analyses the unique qualities of the walkthrough, a sub-category of site-specific theatre. This particular walkthrough explores a religious theme, the last hours of Jesus, and pushes the boundaries of storytelling by empowering the audience to connect more deeply with the performance. Through various readings, it underscores the importance of linearity when writing a realistic plot. These readings helped in the formation of the script Għaliex?. The dissertation concludes that theatre-makers are continuously redefining the boundaries of this timeless art form, exploring other ways to create a relationship between the actor and the spectator and drive social commentary on social issues. |
