| Abstract: | Niccolò de' Lapi is an opera in four acts by Vincenzo Moscuzza based on a historical novel by Massimo d'Azeglio which was published in 1841. The main characters are Niccolò dei Lapi, Lisa, Bindo and Laudomia - his children, Lambert - a warrior and lover of Lisa, Troilus - the secret husband of Lisa, Fanfulla - Captain of the Government and Domenico who is a friar and a standard-bearer. The scene takes place in Florence during the siege of 1530. |
