Abstract: The discovery of wine dates back to around 8,000BC, when, by mere coincidence someone drank the fermented juice of wild grapes that had been collected and stored. This feature takes a close look at a recently unearthed Goiitan wine receipts ledger which sheds light on some aspects on the sale and consumption of wine on the sister island of Gozo.
