| Abstract: | The research explores the inter-relationship between crime, the social landscape and land use across different areas – within and between national boundaries (Malta and Trapani, Sicily). An important part of this is to look at legislation and its enforcement by sector, which is to be compared and set against national and EU legislation, together with social and environmental issues, land use issues and crime issues. these four themes are repeated with parallel research of local councils. this report details the ‘enforcement’ findings for Malta. |
