Abstract: At a meeting of-the Members of the Institute, held in pursuance of a public notice in the local papers, (published in the English and Italian languages ). Charles Harper, Esqr., in the Chair, The Honorary Secretary having addressed the meeting on the subject of the state and prospects of the Institute, and read the report submitted by the Council to the Members. Marquis Barbano di San Giorgio moved: "That the Report read by the Secretary be adopted and published." Seconded by Mr Winter : carried anonymously. The Assistant of the Secretary being called on by the Chairman, read to the meeting the body of Fundamental Laws of the Institute prepared by the Council. Marquis Barbano di San Giorgio moved: " That the Fundamental Laws now read be adopted and printed.', Seconded by the Revd. J. S. Robson : carried anonymously. The Secretary then read the - List of Office bearers, submitted to the meeting to form the executive Council for the ensuing year. The Reverend Henry Hare moved that the Gentlemen named in the said list shall form the Council of the Institute for the Session 1852-53. Seconded by Mr. Myrlea : carried anonymously.
