Abstract: The previous chapters had the task to describe the theoretical issues and the concepts behind the research process. This chapter takes a more hands-on approach in describing how best to carry out the research design, what software to use and how to choose which questions are really needed for the study. This is followed by the issues identified during the data gathering process, the data analysis part, the reporting process and how to ensure that ethics are recognised and adhered to. The final sections revisit the drafting of the aims and objectives and the eventual research questions and review how they fit within the datacycle. Finally, the hypothesis issue is tackled to ensure that all this fits together.
